Title: Theme Night #26 – Ireland in Song
Date: Thursday April 23, 2020.
Theme: From Dolores to The Dubliners, from Micheál O’Suilleabháin to Mary Black, from Hozier to The Horslips, we will be celebrating the rich musical contribution that our composers, songwriters and singers have made to the world. All in our own unique Theme Night manner.
Hang on – I don’t know what a Theme Night is? OK – it’s basically a BIG gang of top class Sligo musicians getting together to pay tribute to a certain artist, band or genre of music in a fun and original way. Here is one of the highlights from last year’s Vicar St show.
Tickets: On sale NOW. Here.
VIP/Corporate Tickets: Limited availability but so important in making this night possible. We have been in touch with those who were so kind to support us last year to give them first option on this years packages.
But…if anyone else would like to have an extra-special night out in Dublin while making a much-appreciated contribution to the night please contact me to register interest or to ask any questions you may have – firstname.lastname@example.org
Connolly’s Bus: WILL be running again. Contact Paul in the bar for more details.
Who is involved? Ah look – the list is too long to write here! Last year we brought 75 musicians and this year it looks like it will be more. From well-known professionals to recently-discovered shower singers – we have them all. And they will ALL knock your socks off.
What can I compare it to? Nothing. All I can say is that these nights are unique, exciting, and fun, and they are a genuine exposition of a musical community coming together to create something bigger than themselves. Join us!
