Spring cleaning in summer…

Doing the work is one thing. Recording albums, producing shows, writing blogs. But it’s also nice to document the work – to have a library of past work that anyone can access.

So I’m delighted to say that with the help of the talented James McManus, we have done a full spring clean on my website to make it easier for you all to find your favourite blog posts, theme night and other performances and of course upcoming gig listings.

To be more precise, there are video playlists from 10 theme nights from over the last 5 years. Also from the last 2 big teenage theme showcases. Some still to be completed as the sheer number of videos to upload is huge but I’ll be tipping away at it over the next few days and weeks. Once again a big thanks to Kris and Dominika Manulak who have documented beautifully so many performances from over the years.

There are brand new feature pages about the theme nights and teenage theme nights – including the history of them, how to get involved, and full listings of themes over the years. It’s great to have so many great pictures from over the years, so thankyou to Steve Rogers, Colin Gillen, Declan Harte and the aforementioned Kris and Dominika Manulak for all the pics featured on the site.

There is a gigs page with details of upcoming theme nights as well as the Monday night guest(s) each week in Thomas Connolly’s.

And of course videos of other projects with which I’ve been involved over the years – my own albums and EPs, and The Gateway City Project with Seamie O’Dowd, Cathal Roche and John Joe Kelly.

Last but certainly not least, there are links to buy or stream my recorded music from the last few years.

I’ve also updated my blog site – this is the best place to hear first about where and how to get tickets for theme nights and other shows, upcoming piano tuition courses, as well as various daily musings I have on subjects musical and non-musical.

I have a few big announcements coming over the next few weeks – starting tomorrow. Subscribe to the blog and you’ll miss nothing.

Finally a huge thankyou to you all for supporting my work over the years. It makes it easier to play, perform and write if you know that there are people out there who will listen and read. I hope you find these sites as useful as I do.

I'm Kieran and I play piano. Actually I do a bit more than just playing - I teach others how to play, and I write music, arrange it and host/produce shows.
