The screens in our lives…

This is from a recent article in the Times.

Then I was recently reminded of the words of a beautiful song written and sung by Maria Carbonell. It’s called Imaginary Rain and she has recently released it.

She wrote it 6 years ago, and the lyrics are remarkably prescient.

“I’m sitting looking around the room, each person entirely consumed. In a world they don’t belong to – I try to leave but I can’t move”.

Our relationships with the screens in our lives are important to get right. How much is enough? At what point are they affecting our ability to communicate in the real world? Listen to the song – apart from the beauty of the song, it might help you think about these issues.
